Starting on August 5th and ending on the date of this publication, August 7th, MicroCon, the world's largest intermicronational event and gathering, in its 4th edition, hosted by His Royal Highness Travis I, Grand Duke of Westarctica, gathered at Sam's Town Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, United States, representatives of 30 micronations, more than 100 participants and attracted the attention of 7 international press vehicles. Represented by His Excellency the Minister-President of Saint-Castin, Mr. Dominic Desaintes, and by Her Highness Cloe I, Princess of Sancratosia, the Conference of Santiago was one of two intermicronational organizations to participate in the event in its own category (the other being MicroFrancophonie), also being the first time that South America is represented at the event (although CS is not an exclusively South American organization, but composed mostly of nations from that subcontinent).
The Conference flag, designed by His Imperial Majesty Emperor Leonardo I of Villa Alicia, fluttered in the halls of the hotel-casino that hosted the MicroCon alongside flags such as Molossia, Ladonia, Flandrensis, Westarctica, Aigues-Mortes, not to mention those of Saint-Castin and Sancratosia, among others. In the main event of this great meeting, important agendas for the world micronationalism were presented and debated among the politicians, monarchs and members of the royalty and other authorities present. The interests of the Conference of Santiago were expressed by the representatives of Saint-Castin and Sancratosia.
Finally, the event ended with a great informal chat and a friendly bowling competition between micronational representatives, embracing something very valued and that is the core of this Conference, which is friendship, and its coexistence with good professionalism and its prevalence over relationships. We went through this event with a historical and positive balance, and we left feeling strengthened and grateful.
